Description
Study Notes on ENG 253: Drama—Genre is an advanced course on Drama Genre. Drama can be defined as that form of literature that requires the stage for the full realization. It is a collaborative art and it can also be said to be literature that walks and talks. It employs all art forms. It uses spectacles, dance, drumming, painting, sound effect, etc. It is the tripartite relationship between the writer, the stage and the audience. Drama is broadly divided in two categories—poetic drama and closet drama. Poetic drama is written in blank verse or heroic couplets whereas closet drama is written primarily to be read.
